  Notes	JEWEL FRANKLIN FLACK ("FRANK") DIED IN NAVY AIRPLANE CRASH Kodiak Air Station, AK - 10/3/1945 8 crew members died and 7 survived when a landing was attempted. Plane crashed into the NE slope of Old Woman Mountain, adjacent to the air station. Frank was USN Radio Electrician's Mate. He was thirty-five years old. In 1948, Robert Frank Flack, (the son of Frank's brother James M. Flack) was named in Frank's honor.

He was killed in action on October 3, 1945 during a plane crash near Kodiak, Alaska. He was thirty-five years old. His final resting place was in Eureka at Ocean View cemetery. He was survived by his wife Eleanor Flack; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jesse James Flack; his siblings, Ruby Sweetman, Ann Heard & Jas. Flack; and his mother-in-law, Hancie Dillon.
