Louella Lenora ('Nora') Flack Death notices - notation on Alta Lodge notepad
Louella Lenora ("Nora") Flack Death notices - notation on Alta Lodge notepad
James M. Flack handwritten notation lists Nora's parents as John Franklin Lucas and Caroline Lucas, according to Hattie Mangum. However, her mother was Frances Eugenia Mangum (1857-1891) who died in Nora's childbirth (according to Ann Heard's family history). Aunt Caroline was the surrogate mother for her brother's 7 children.

Louella Lenora Flack death certificate d. 23 Mar 1975
The certificate has Caroline Lucas as "Nora's" mother, however, according to Ann Heard's family history, Nora mother died at her birth. Apparently, Aunt Caroline Lucas (sister to father John Franklin Lucas) became the surrogate mother, helping to raise 7 siblings.
Son James M. Flack provided certificate data, relying on information from Cousin Hattie, noted on a Alta Lodge notepad in JMF's handwriting.

Marriage Certificate-Morris Forman and Sarah Katzen
Marriage Certificate-Morris Forman and Sarah Katzen
This is the marriage certificate of Morris Forman and Sarah Katzen. It was filed on June 6, 1919. It appears that they were then married on June 8, 1919. On this certificate, it states Sarah's name as Sylvia Forman. Throughout my life, I had never ever known her as Sylvia, nor did any of her relatives or friends refer to her as Sylvia. It must have been a clerical error? Or were they never legally married???? Then this means that there is certainly a great deal of illegitimacy within this family tree!!

Many experts hold that lack of exercise is turning today's child into a slack-muscled "softy". Among the latest efforts to reverse the trend are special classes like this one for youngsters 6 to 10 at the Y.W.C.A.'s central branch
