Applicant for new Y.W.C.A junior fitness class is tested by Dr. Sonya Weber to determine abilities and needs. Many experts hold that lack of exercise is turning today's child into a slack-muscled "softy". Among the latest efforts to reverse the trend are special classes like this one for youngsters 6 to 10 at the Y.W.C.A.'s central branch

| Rosalind Forman Eulogy, delivered by Louis L. Kaplan For more than a thousand years, from the days of Aristotle until Maimonides, the via media or golden mean has been recommended as the ideal way to live. There have been practitioners of this art who came to it only after years of excess, followed by great effort to overcome the appetitional drives. Roz lived the golden mean effortlessly, for it was inherent in her nature. She loved beautiful things and acquired what she could for her home, her family and herself, without denigrating the simple or exaggerating the importance of the expensive ...
----
Notes on Kaplan (1902-2001): a close family friend and a Jewish community leader. Len Forman, and others, referred to him as the "King of the Jews". He was the president of Baltimore Hebrew University, and a member of the University of Maryland Board of Regents.
